This roleplay takes place in a world of Naga of Cinekina and I's devices. That means that we made up this particular naga society. It, the concept of our type of Naga, was inspired by the most awesomeful, SnapeSnogger.
Information on this alternate universe will be posted as it comes about...

Naga Status-
What, exactly, is a naga?
A Naga is a mythical creature with the torso and head of a human/fae, and the lower half and tail of a snake. The tail and hair of a naga come in many bright and varying colours.
A Naga can be created though natural means, ie, two naga (assumedly a male and female) mating; though unnatural means, ie, a large snake fusing (through biting or magic) with a human/fae; through disturbing means (a human/fae and large snake mating); or through magical means, ie, a curse.
In our terms, the word "naga" is both singular and plural.
Naga relations with others-
-Humans
Humans and Naga are at warring state. It is considered taboo to show any sign of respect for one another.
Naga, who generally reside under the ground, currently are going to great ends to excavate a tunnel to the surface to fuel the war effort.
Humans who are cursed or fused with a snake are generally welcomed into Naga society. If they are loyal to their roots, however, they are likely to die; as Humans take in no such "monsters".
-Fae
[For a general explanation on Fae folk, I refer to Wiki-
Fae races These races are practically immortal and all have the ability to manipulate mana and use magic to some extent.
Faeries Little is known about them. Most mortals will never see a faery in their lifetime.
Light elves Light-skinned elves living on the surface world.
Dark elves Dark elves have a darker, more tanned skin tone than the light elves (hence the name), and colorful hair, ranging from cyan to green to blue or purple, and eye colors to match. They used to live on the surface world. After the War of the Moons, a massive magical war that decimated most of the surface, they migrated underground. However, their children, having been born underground, away from the light, all had black or gray skin and usually silvery-white hair and purple eyes. This new "race" became known as the drow. Because no new dark elves were born after the migration underground, their numbers have dwindled over the ages, and at the present time they are all but extinct. The few that remain are generally ancient and powerful though.
Drow A collective term for the descendants of the dark elves that moved underground; several sub-races exist.]
Most Fae and Naga are in the same boat; they both dislike humans. However, a Fae is more likely to mate with a Human than a Naga.
Fae and Naga have a long-standing alliance, though this is simply a general term and is more military status than anything else. There is still much tension between these two races.
There are settlements of friendly Fae and Naga scattered about the lands... They can live together naturally, but usually don't.

Dialect-
Why so many apostrophies?
Partly because they're simplistic. It seperates syllables, saves them writing some vowels, and puts natural breaks into their speech. It's also more fun to come up with words with apostrophies.
Also, it's a pretty common practice for names and such in fantasy settings. We like to fit in.
Why so many *other* weird words?
Because it's fun to make up words for other things. Duh. Occasionally, you can decipher what we write/mean through this handy dandy key-
A- U B- Z C- Y D- X E- A F- W G- V H- T I- E J- S K- R L- Q M- P N- H O- I P- N Q- M R- L S- K T- J U- O V- G W- F X- D Y- C Z- B
Of course, we often edit things for phonetic reasons, as you'll see in this translation.
Iw yiolka, fa iwjah axej jtehvk wil ntihajey laukihk, uk cio'qq kaa eh jtek jluhkqujeih.
- See? Most words don't cross over too well. That sentence would become something like-
'W yiol'kha, fah w'jaa az'ej tev'k wihl ng'tihaje lokik, uukh siok kaa he j'tehk j'lukuj'eh.
We simplify.
And, no. There will never be a sentence that long in Naga-speak. Only, possibly, short phrases.
